As i turn "a year wiser"

As I turn yet another year ‘wiser’ today, I reflect and look not just to my future, but i am giving myself the ability to think deeper into somethings that i consider very important to my generation and to my future.

I meditate on this day, my special day, I think deeply of my country Cameroon, my ancestors and my family who still live there.

I spent my childhood growing up this country, the land of my birth.

My experiences of this country make me whom I am today. It’s interesting for me to understand that of everything my country has been to me, and still is to me, I am only just now realizing how much I have to pray for my country.

Today I dedicate my special day, the day of my birth to my homeland, Cameroon.

I invite all of you to pray with me and to join me to intercede for my country Cameroon.

I currently reside in the United States of America. The importance of this country in my life also, cannot be overlooked. This country cannot be exempt of my prayers. I pray for the United States especially at this time, of great change an uncertainty.

The bible, in 1Timothy 2:1-4 tells us "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty....

This scripture is the Spirit’s admonition through Paul to the Church on the importance of earnest intercession for all men, our countries or domicile and of origin and the leaders therein. The result of such is an overwhelming experience of God’s blessings of peace and prosperity.

Isaiah 1:19 the Bible tells us, “If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land.” This is part of what you do in obedience—praying, contending for the hearts of men in your country, and around the world, that His righteousness will be established, and all forms of evil, turmoil, wickedness, and terror, be thwarted.Today, the security and economic situations across our world are of great concern. But the Church holds the solution. The Church is the only restraining power against evil in the earth today (2 Thessalonians 2:7).

Some of us forget the need to pray for their country; instead they complain. This was me in the past, but not now. Not anymore. Please desist from complaining about your country. Don’t be that way! If we don’t stand up and pray together as one, for our country and its leaders, who will. How can we expect to enjoy the good of the land, unless we take responsibility for it and pray that God looks on us ‘with favor’?
Meanwhile, in every nation, the Bible shows that there’s a lot of good in the land.

Psalm 33:5 says, “... the earth is full of the goodness of the LORD.”Rise to the challenge and take up the responsibility of prayer. Pray earnestly and fervidly for the nations and leaders of the countries where you live or work, and then the rest of the world. Declare that God’s righteousness prevails, and His glory rests on, and influences, men’s hearts as God’s people boldly proclaim the Gospel. Pray also for ministers, that they be granted more grace to preach the Gospel with boldness and power, that many more souls may be added to the Lord all around the world.

Until the rapture takes place, we, as God’s people, hold the true reins of power in the nations, and have the authority to direct their course through prayer. Please join me as I pray for my countries –

Dear heavenly Father, I pray that your peace, progress and prosperity will reign in the nations of the world, and that you’ll grant the ministers of the Gospel the courage to preach and minister your Word boldly. I pray that the power and influence of their message will kindle your love in the hearts of men. Thank you for the tremendous and glorious transformation of many lives through the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today my heart goes out to the youth of my country Cameroon

We live at a time when we have the largest population ever between the ages of 15 - 30. Well close to 60% of our Country's population is below 30. This is the most educated population taking into consideration literacy levels, accessibility to education, level of education attained and graduation numbers. This is also the most connected generation with access to the Internet, television, and technology, but unfortunately this generation is the most held back.

Our youth are being stifled by a generation that is staying longer in positions of responsibility be it in the private or public sector. This generation is experiencing the largest unemployment levels since independence, and also the experiencing the largest exodus from the country allowing a huge brain drain or loss of human capital. The economy of the country has not expanded rapidly enough to accommodate this generation and government policies are not sophisticated enough to deal with this unprecedented challenges.

This is the state of the young people of Cameroon, this is a highly precarious state for any economy to face and yet very little is being done to understand the complexity of the situation let alone take action to address it.
So fellow Cameroonians, while we often think solutions must come from government, we live at a time when no one government, no one political party, no one NGO or business has the answers. It takes we the people to be part of the solution.

We need to mobilize and activate young people to begin to take action in communities across Cameroon that will lead not only to change but that will create opportunities to learn new skills as well as employment.

We need an informed and empowered youth that have a constructive voice with clear and unambiguous solutions and demands for action.

We need a youth that does not accept simple solutions but understands the complexity of the times in which we live and can patiently work towards implementing sustainable solutions.

Let us join the movement #iamcameroon to create an awareness for our youth.

The #iamcameroon movement is raising funds to put these billboards across the nation. Please support us on this journey by checking out this page

My prayer for our youth

Father God, today we make mention of the youth in this next generation, especially the youth of Cameroon. We pray for an encounter with You, the One who can change everything.

Grant them a spirit of wisdom and revelation of insight into mysteries and secrets in the deep and intimate knowledge of You. Open eyes, hearts, and ears as only You can do. May all in this next generation know and understand the calling You’ve placed upon them, the inheritance You’ve given them, and what You, Father, have positioned them for and their purpose in this time and hour.

I pray for those who are wondering whether You care about them, if You know their names, if You heal, what their destinies are, and if they can have an effect on this world. Father, we know that You even caused this wonder. We pray for each person who is wondering about You and pray that connection would be made to You. Bring each one of them a personalized, detailed experience with You. Bring them personalized moments with the Holy Spirit that only You can give. AMEN. Praise be to God.
